Visual design

In the concept phase, visual design focuses on the overall look and feel. In the creation phase we design all aspects of the project in detail. Assets are designed as deconstructed elements such as additional pages or screens, user interface elements like buttons and icons, system states and transitions. All are captured in the design style guide.

UX design

The task of a UX designer is first and foremost to understand how the product will be experienced by those who use it. One must make sure that the user intuitively understands what is to be done and that it is a logical and natural flow from one to the other.

The UX designer is happy to create wireframes or storyboards to illustrate how the user experience can be best managed.

UI design

UI design is all about making the visual look cohesive and appealing. The design is intended to communicate and reinforce the thoughts made at the UX stage. This is where things like colors, fonts, buttons, photo usage and graphic elements come into play.

The UI designer is happy to create completed graphic sketches to illustrate more (or completely) exactly how the end product should look.
